a REAL Blizzard

Hello from Edmonton!
Jaime and I arrived last week, after a harrowing 3 day drive through blowing snow and slush. When we got here it was sunny and above zero... but alas, not any more. Today is apparently the worst blizzard here since 89!
At any rate - God has been faithful, and we are now moved into our new home YAY!!! Everything is still in boxes, but that takes time.
We don't have internet at the house yet - so don't feel like we are ignoring you.

People are really grat here, but it feels so weird to not know anyone. So please keep praying for Jaime and I. this adjustment will be hard, and take some time. We miss Sidney... but that is normal I guess. We know God has brought us here, and we are glad.
Pray for God to connect us with those who will be partners in vision, "spiritual stomes" which God will build us in with, to form real community (2 Peter).

I'll post more later.

Yeah!!! Oh Rob it is exciting that you are there. Don't worry about the snow we have it here too.
We will be praying for you guys. Enjoy the season as God will move and before you know it, you will feel like you have always lived there.
It's not the same without you. I have to find new friends to have coffee with and I don't want to. So I will jump on West Jet on Friday morning around 7am and we can have coffee at the airport and then I will fly home. hehehe

cheers,

colin & The M&M Gang

A real blizzard? What? You mean a few centimeters of snow isn't a blizzard? That's...that's...TERRIBLE!

It's good you made it there before it started. Just remember, when getting to know new people, first impressions are key. That's why I like to make a fool of myself. Haha. People seem to like fools.

We shall come visit you one day, and see this...'house' you speak of.

Regarding you living in a blizzard...LOL HAHAHAHAHA

That's exactly why I didn't want to move to Alberta. Oh crap we have so much snow here it feels like AB. Oh no! I am moving to Vernon where it gets a bunch of snow. There is snow everywhere.

Chapman told us that there was a blizzard in Saskatoon this week where the whole city shut down.

I love snow but hate shoveling it and seeing all the accidents. Bought 4 snow tires for our move. And winter blades to see better. Got some gloves and even a touque. Need boots.

I like shoveling rain...right Blackstock.

Thanks all of you,
A REAL blizzard is... -20 or 30 below zero, and blowing snow so bad you can't se out your winsheild! Vancouver island snow is pretty, and warm - this is death! But it's an adventure!

It's pretty cold in Wayne-monton right now. It's pretty cold down here too. Cold enough in Edmonton to turn your fingers blue.....which goes well with copper...... copper and blue!!! GO OILERS.

I'm sorry. The irony of you in Edmonton will take a while to wear off for me.

Glad you guys got there safe... As for the snow, I love snow, but I'm not so sure I'd be very fond of a real blizzard... I like Sidney's nice..warm..gentle snow that turns into slush after 3 days!

Hey Rob! Good to see things are well. Just wanted to tell you I'm thinking of you and Jaime. Oh, and we also discussed in class today how great of a youth pastor you are... seriously, Carl used you as an example. You're gonna do great there!
